Brig. Gen. Steve Ritchie retired Jan.. 29, 1999 after more than 34 years in the Air Force, Air Force Reserve and Colorado Air National Guard. Ritchie holds the distinction as the only Air Force fighter pilot ace since the Korean War. He completed his military service as a mobilization assistant to the commander of Air Force Recruiting Service. U.S. Air Force Photo.
